We are currently accepting resumes for a Mainframe System programmer.
The Selected Candidate Will Perform The Following Duties
The Systems Programmer is full-time, 40 hours per week. It is important to note that a System Programmer in the Mainframe vernacular is significantly different than an Application Programmer. A Mainframe System Programmer is responsible for the analysis, development, modification, installation, testing and maintenance of operating systems software. They modify and debug vendor-supplied utilities and packages. They may also diagnose, isolate and debug software problems and perform problem resolution. System Programmers monitor system capacity and performance, plan and execute disaster recovery procedures and provide Tier 2 technical support. They are responsible for Z/OS operation, Z/OS support including problem analysis and resolution. This Systems Programmer will also be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and operating the BMC Control-M scheduler software on the system. This person will also be responsible for maintaining and working with other third-party software installed in the system environment, such as VTAM-SWITCH and other installed supporting ISV software
