We are currently accepting resumes for a Senior SQL Developer position in Torrance, CA.
This position is Hybrid- It would be up to 2 days onsite per week, but may change.
Salary Range : $113-$123k

The selected candidate will perform the following duties :

FIVE Must skills :
1. 6 years of strong SQL Server backend experience in a batch environment.
2. Very strong SQL development skills and very comfortable with Stored procedures, views, DTS packages, Windows batch scripts etc.
3. We have manual workflow and queues implemented using SQL, so they need solid SQL skills to debug any issues.
4.Work independently with minimum supervision.
5.Fast learner and someone who can bring client core values into their daily work.
Daily Tasks Performed :
s a SQL Developer, this person will perform the following tasks, but not limited to :
1. Application Development and Production Support for multiple large projects
2. Research and resolve production issues, troubleshooting of Mid-Tier MS SQLServer online and batch issues
3. Evaluate the daily and monthly batch process to improve performance and shorten the critical path window
4. Perform Impact Analysis across multiple platforms and applications
5. Deliver complete documentation for estimates, design and development
6. On-call for production support during off-office hours (night and weekend).
What will this person be working on :
1. Codes and performs unit and integration testing of software to ensure proper and efficient execution and adherence to business and technical requirements
2. Codes, tests, and debugs new software or makes enhancements to existing software
3. Writes programs according to specifications from higher level staff or business analysts
4. Develops technical documentation
5. Resolves in a timely manner problems that arise with existing production applications to ensure the efficient and proper functioning of application components
6. Collaborates with technical staff to learn and understand software problems
7. Generates a variety of complex and periodic reports and / or data through database management, data administration and data extraction techniques
8. Provides general system users and management with system analysis and feedback
9. Influences system design by identifying and recommending design and requirements needs for software enhancements
10. Mentors and coaches less experienced staff
11. Maximizes the efficiency of the various software systems by implementing, monitoring, testing and auditing new software programs
12. Analyzes and resolves computer related problems by coordinating with in-house personnel to diagnose and fix operational difficulty, as well as consulting, advising and training on specialized features and functions
13. Follows established configuration / change control processes
Position Success Criteria (Desired) - 'WANTS'
1. Must have strong experience using SQL technologies (stored procedure, views, DTS package, etc.)
2. Experience in Automotive Finance industry preferred
3. Business knowledge of financial services, Understanding of financial services automotive lending, Customer Service, Payment Processing, Taxes, End of Term and Extension processes, Collections, Delinquency Tracking, Repossession, Charge Off, Recovery, Bankruptcy, and Accounting.
4. Familiarity with test practices and deliverables for unit testing
5. Interpersonal style that fits the Company culture
6. Knowledge of Salesforce Service & Marketing cloud platform is preferred
7. Experience in working in Agile and Waterfall methodologies
