Job Summary:
Unicorn Tire is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will provide administrative support across various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and eager to support employees and management in creating a positive workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, ensuring all paperwork and orientation activities are completed accurately and timely.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and employee inquiries.
- Provide support in resolving employee questions or concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate HR personnel when necessary.
- Prepare and distribute internal communications such as memos, announcements, and policy updates.
- Assist with payroll-related tasks, such as verifying time records and addressing employee payroll inquiries.
- Help organize employee events, training sessions, and other HR-related initiatives.
- Monitor and manage the accuracy of the HR database and personnel files.
- Support the HR team in special projects and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's or bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or HR support role.
- Familiarity with HR practices and employment laws is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
