Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Ramp Agent to join our team at the Kailua-Kona Airport.
The successful candidate will be responsible for loading, unloading, and servicing customer aircraft, as well as safeguarding baggage, air cargo, and airmail from damage or loss.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, service, guide, and direct customer aircraft safely and efficiently.
- Lift, load/unload, sort, and transfer passenger baggage, airmail, freight, and company materials in and out of aircraft bins, belt loaders, or baggage carts.
- Operate pushback equipment and maintain visual contact with Wing Walkers to ensure safe operation.
- Receive and record customer baggage, airfreight, mail, and company materials as required.
- Pick up, deliver, and transport cargo and baggage to and from aircraft and prepare records connected with these responsibilities.
- Operate and/or drive motorized equipment, such as belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, push back tugs, bag carts, lavatory carts, and deicers.
- Complete paperwork and forms connected with work assignments and enter information into Company's system as required.
Requirements:
- Must be a local resident with a valid In-State Driver's License.
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and up to a 10-year background check.
- At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
- Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.
- Able to lift/carry/push/pull items weighing up to 70 pounds and repetitively lift weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces.
- Able to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods.
- Able to work in cramped or high places and carry heavy items up and down jet way stairs.
