Job Summary
The Direct Support Professional provides support and assistance to adults with developmental disabilities. This includes helping individuals develop independent living skills, developing and implementing leisure and recreational activities, transporting individuals within the community, maintaining documentation, and contacting medical professionals as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license with no restrictions, and a clean motor vehicle record with 2 or less points. You must also be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted and demonstrate basic computer skills using an electronic record/medication administration system.
