We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Practice Administrator to oversee the operations of our OBGYN office, managing multiple locations in the St. Augustine area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare administration, with specific experience working in OBGYN practices and managing a team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the OBGYN practice, including staff management, patient scheduling, and facility maintenance across 4 locations.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient care services.
- Develop and implement administrative policies and procedures to streamline operations and enhance patient satisfaction.
- Manage staffing needs, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of administrative and clinical staff.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, OSHA, and state healthcare regulations.
- Oversee billing and coding processes to optimize revenue cycle management and minimize billing errors.
- Serve as a liaison between the practice and external stakeholders, including insurance companies, vendors, and community organizations.
- Analyze practice performance metrics and financial reports to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic initiatives to enhance practice efficiency and profitability.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in healthcare administration, implementing changes as necessary to maintain the practice's competitive edge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare administration, with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing multiple locations.
- Experience working in OBGYN or women's health is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with physicians, staff, and patients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of implementing process improvements and achieving measurable results.
- Proficiency in practice management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) designation from MGMA or other relevant certifications are a plus.
