Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities.
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and laws, staying current with changes in tax legislation.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial performance.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation.
- Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and professional development.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.
- Prepare and present tax reports and analyses to senior management and clients.
- Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in tax preparation and accounting software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
