Description:
Position Summary: Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to the production schedule. Maintains and monitors the parts schedule to ensure orders are completed timely.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review backlog on a daily basis to ensure the schedule dates are maintained for all sales orders currently in the system.
- Coordinate engineering, purchasing, machine shop and/or assembly operations to ensure customer delivery expectations are met for orders.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining shop floor work orders and routing
- Performing sales order routing rollups
- Responsible for assigning cost to manufactured products and cost roll ups are accurate
- Review part prints and release bill of materials in the system
- Responsible creating and maintaining sub-contract PO’s
- Responsible for tracking delivery of sub-contract PO’s to ensure production schedule is not impacted
- Assist in managing the work center report and addressing capacity issues
- Responsible for the appropriate availability and fulfillment of manufactured products.
- Ensuring all material for each job is received in the system prior to scheduled start date.
- Work with purchasing to address delivery gaps of material concerning scheduled production dates.
- Communicate to purchasing any material issues that may arise through the course of production.
- Work with team leads concerning rework and rejected product in order to quickly act on any potentially late projects.
- Respond to internal RFIs.
- Review and react to MRP messages to ensure a steady flow of materials.
- Expedite and/or research missing, late or incorrect orders.
- Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- Maintain system lead times accurately

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of supply chain metrics.
- Ability to communicate and coordinate with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a cross functional work environment.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in a supply chain related field and at least 5 years of buying/planning experience or at least 7 years of related experience is required
