Unimacts is searching for a Purchasing Assistant who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to support our procurement operations. This role is integral to ensuring smooth day-to-day purchasing activities and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. As a Purchasing Assistant, you'll play a vital role in the renewable energy sector, contributing to our mission of driving global sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders and requisitions
- Maintain and update accurate supplier and inventory records
- Track deliveries and resolve discrepancies in purchase orders or shipments
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery schedules, and pricing
- Research and evaluate potential suppliers to expand our vendor base
- Provide administrative support to the procurement team, including data entry and reporting
- Collaborate with inventory control teams to ensure timely stock replenishment
- Monitor market trends to assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in a purchasing or administrative role (1-2 years is a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with ERP systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for supplier interactions
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and reporting
- Interest or experience in renewable energy or manufacturing is an added advantage
