What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher position at Unimex Logistics?
Schedule, dispatch and track progress of drivers and shipments to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs, using GPS, direct contact, and tablets.
Follow up with arrangements for necessary repairs in order to restore service & operations schedules.
Ensure and directly manage the process for the release of fuel rations, use fuel locations approved by upper management and trip allowances required for the successful execution of each delivery job.
Prepare daily work and run schedules while also drawing up weekly projections for work schedule and truck deployment in line with pending or potential job or delivery orders.
Update and manage excel online report and prophesy system on a daily basis.
Make drivers aware of the importance of having availability to make trips, keeping vehicles in optimal conditions, complying with HOS established by the DOT, complying with cargo delivery time and sending legible proofs of delivery by "drive axle ".
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
