Position: Curriculum and Instructional Support Interventionist
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports to: Principal
Purpose: To provide leadership in the ongoing development, assessment, and improvement of the curriculum, instructional program, and professional development for the school.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Curriculum
Assist in obtaining resourcesModel classroom lessons as needed
Stay current with state and national changes in curriculum
Facilitate collaboration at grade level, content area, or vertical planning meetings
Assist in vertical and horizontal curriculum alignment
Recommend curriculum resources
Input curriculum requests into budget spreadsheet
Instructional Program Support
Help teachers overcome any deficiencies identified through observationFacilitate classroom walkthroughs
Collaborate with teaching teams and individual teachers to plan and execute best practice instructional methods
Train and support teachers on Powerteacher gradebook
Serve as a liaison between administration and instructional staff
Professional Development
Plan, organize, schedule, present PD for teachers, mentors, instructional assistants, and others as needed
Document content and attendance
Facilitate and schedule professional development team planning meetings
Attend local, regional, and national conferences and communicate information back to relevant stakeholders

Desired Training and Hands-On experience
Shall hold a Bachelor’s Degree or higher.Shall have a minimum of five years teaching and/or supervisory or administrative experience within the past eight years.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Minimum Qualifications or Standards required to perform essential job functions:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS WORK ENVIRONMENT: Sedentary/Medium - Exert force 10-25 lbs., frequently; and up to 10 lbs., constantly; or a negligible amount of force to frequently lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, pushing, pulling, carrying, reaching, handling, and repetitive fine motor activities. Hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. Vision: Frequent near acuity and occasional far acuity. Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard office equipment. Vision to read printed materials, a VDT screen, or other monitoring devices.
Environmental Conditions: Varies from indoors exposure to outside weather conditions Exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to loud.
Hazards: Uneven walking/working surfaces, communicable diseases, cleaning chemicals, lifting/carrying of materials, and power/hand-operated equipment and machinery (as related to specific assignment).
