Duties/Responsibilities:
Functions, Duties, Tasks:
The HR Specialist partners with the site HR leader to ensure appropriate HR support is provided to the Union Agener Augusta Technology Center. Key responsibilities include the following:
Staffing:
- Work with line management to efficiently and effectively post positions.
- Assist in managing and scheduling candidate interviews.
- Assist in making travel arrangements for candidates as appropriate.
- Work with training department to coordinate and facilitate new employee orientations for new hires.
- Work with line management to ensure appropriate actions are taken for effective onboarding process.
- Maintain site headcount reports.
Engagement:
- Process payment requests for site community relations donations and participate as an active member of the site community relations committee.
- Assist with communication planning and execution for site initiatives
HR/Site Data:
- Partner with line management to ensure job descriptions are kept up to date in accordance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Maintain site organizational charts and work with HR partners to ensure HR data is clean and accurate.
- Act as site steward for records retention efforts.
- Direct site employees to appropriate HR resources.
- Assist with other HR/site needs as required.
Minimum Qualification (education, experience and/or training, required certifications):
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- Minimum of three years of experience in providing administrative support
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize effectively, and be able to efficiently handle multiple tasks or assignments.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability and desire to work collaboratively with a diverse team are required; must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Augusta site workforce and with HR contacts at other company locations.
- Must act in an ethical manner in all business transactions and must maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information.
- Must demonstrate strong initiative and the ability to work effectively under general supervision.
- Strong attention to detail is required in order to maintain highly accurate records.
- Must have strong written communication skills to write clear and concise documents and to effectively edit written documentation from others.
Additional Preferences:
- Prior human resources training/experience preferred.
- Prior experience using SAP preferred.

- Those associated with sedentary work. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, lift and tote when required.
