Company Description
Prioritizes critical information of incoming emergency calls. Must provide dispatch and communication to all emergency support services.
Applications may be picked up at the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 am to 4 pm.

Job Description
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and record significant information
- Address problems and requests by transmitting information or providing solutions
- Receive and dispatch orders for services
- Prioritize calls according to urgency and importance
- Use radio, phone or computer to send crews, vehicles or other field units to appropriate locations
- Enter data in computers system and maintain logs and records of calls, activities and other information
- Booking and monitor conduct of inmates, according to established policies, regulations and procedures
Qualifications
All applicants must meet the following requirements to apply for the positions of Telecommunicator/Correction's Officer:
- Applicants must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Possess a valid drivers license
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work holidays and rotating shifts; which would include days, evenings, and nights
- Ability to multi task while handling emergency situations in a calm and professional manner
- Pass a background check

Applications may be picked up at the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 am to 4 pm. Must live in the surrounding 5 counties (Alexander, Jackson, Johnson, Pulaski, Williamson) of Union County to be considered.
