POSITION TITLE: Women’s LifeChange Case Manager
REPORTS TO: Women and Children’s Ministry Director
SUPERVISES: N/A
LOCATION: 3400 SW 103rd Beaverton, OR 97005
STATUS: Full Time/40 hours per week (Monday – Friday). Some work will be required on occasional evenings/weekends at special events; some holiday work required.
WAGE: $35,000 - $40,000 annually (based on experience) plus benefits
OVERALL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Providing comprehensive case management and transitional resourcing for the WLC residents, working on a team of staff, volunteers and WLC residents that will fully meet residents spiritual and recovery needs and establish them in healthy godly living; developing an excellent recovery environment; and effectively working with all other UGM teams and other ministry partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assess the needs of residents and develop a case plan for residents assigned to your caseload
- Communicate clearly and effectively with the staff about your resident’s issues and needs
- Effectively and quickly resolve conflicts with staff or residents
- Meet with each resident on your caseload at least once each week to review goals, assess progress, and hold them accountable to program responsibilities.
- Data entry of resident’s behavior, program participation and track resident progress
- Follow guidelines for grace-based accountability and enforce trauma-informed care practices
- Teach/train residents in assigned classes, work therapy and program responsibilities
- Develop a network of community and transitional resources and refer WLC residents appropriately
- Responsible for operating vehicles to transport residents and materials to and from specified destinations
- Helps maintain a healing environment at WLC, where grace can flow freely with a safe & clean facility
- Maintains confidential WLC program communications and resident case files
- Attend various All-Staff meetings and attend training as needed
- Follow proper procedures for urinalysis, breathalyzer and room checks.
- Assist with any other job-related duties as assigned by the Women and Children’s Ministry Director
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· BA/BS degree or equivalent years of experience required. MSW degree is preferred.
· Previous gospel/rescue mission experience or equivalent is preferred
· At least one year peer mentorship or case management experience is preferred
· Excellent interpersonal, training, administrative and networking skills required
· Ability to speak directly and lovingly confront personal issues is required
· Excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills required
· Ability to work in cooperation with other UGM departments and staff (team player)
· Caring heart for homeless, addicted, and abused women
· Strong love for the Lord along with strong integrity and character
· Agreement with Union Gospel Mission’s Statement of Faith
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- A criminal history and background check are required and must be successfully completed
- Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks as assigned
- Ability to walk up and down steps
- Must have a clear driving record and possess a valid driver’s license. Drivers must also have knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices to ensure the safety of themselves and others on the road.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Character: Strong commitment to the vision and values of Union Gospel Mission, have a passion for the gospel, and a desire to serve the homeless, broken, and addicted. Must be a follower of Jesus Christ and actively involved in a local Christian church. Must adhere to UGM’s statement of faith and standards of conduct.
