Overview:
Residential Camp Support Staff include roles such as: Office Manager, Cook, Kitchen Staff, Custodian, Nurse, and more. These roles are important to the camp community as they ensure that campers and staff are healthy and safe while on camp.
The Office Manager is responsible for maintaining the grants at camp, communicating with parents, and keeping the office in clean, working order.
Specific Duties:
GENERAL CAMP TASKS
- Follow all camp rules and ensure that staff and campers are as well.
- Abide by Personnel Policies & Procedures of the ULBGC Camp.
TRAININGS & MEETINGS
- Attend staff training before camp starts
- Attend meetings before each session starts
- Work with Camp Director to plan skills to improve on while working at camp
- Check in with Camp Director regularly
SUPERVISORY
- Follow up with staff to fully complete and turn in required paperwork
- Hold staff accountable to keep office space and laundry area clean and organized
- Keep Camp Office organized and clean
- Keep files organized and easily accessible
- Report facility issues to the Property Manager in a timely manner
- Manage all tasks assigned on the job description
- Complete other tasks as assigned
OFFICE MANAGER SPECIFIC TASKS
- Office
- Keep office space organized and clean
- Keep files organized and easily accessible
- Communication
- Answer phones between 9am and 5pm while campers are on camp.
- Communicate with parents and counselors to keep them updated on their campers
- Check camp email daily and print out emails for campers. Get responses and email back
- Communicate with ULBGC leadership and operations staff as assigned by the Camp Director
- Report facility issues to the Property Manager in a timely manner
- File Organization
- Keep Excel spreadsheet up to date with camper contact information
- Organize grant paperwork as specified by the grantor
Requirements
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Passion to provide a positive camp experience to everyone who comes to camp
- Great computer skills
- Organized and detail oriented
- Great communication skills
- Good follow through on tasks
- Ability to communicate in Spanish preferred
- Ability to work with a team
