Description : Overview :
Residential Camp Support Staff include roles such as : Office Manager, Cook, Kitchen Staff, Custodian, Nurse, and more. These roles are important to the camp community as they ensure that campers and staff are healthy and safe while on camp.
Cook Specific Tasks
Prepare complete meals on time as assigned
Ensure that all meals have the appropriate supplies to prepare them.
Hold kitchen staff accountable for keeping the kitchen and dining hall clean after every meal
Ensure there are menu items that can be served in case of a power outage or malfunction of refrigerators or ovens
Keep the kitchen and dining hall clean and safe and supervise kitchen staff assisting with that task
Keep the kitchen organized and free of clutter
Ensure meal items are in stock
Prepare inventory lists for Food Service manager
Report facility issues to the Property Manager in a timely manner
Specific Duties :
General Camp Tasks
Follow all camp rules and ensure that staff and campers are as well.
Abide by Personnel Policies & Procedures of the ULBGC Camp.
Trainings and meetings
Attend staff training before camp starts
Attend meetings before each session starts
Work with Camp Director to plan skills to improve on while working at camp
Check in with Camp Director regularly
Supervisory
Follow up with staff to fully complete and turn in required paperwork
Hold staff accountable to keep office space and laundry area clean and organized
Camp Support Staff Specific Tasks
Keep assigned space organized and clean
Keep files organized and easily accessible
Report facility issues to the Property Manager in a timely manner
Manage all tasks assigned on the job description
Complete other tasks as assigned
Requirements :
Must have a professional demeanor and open to flexibility during the working day
Must have a passion to provide healthy, complete meals to young people
Good health and a physical condition suited for kitchen work and long hours
Must have experience preparing meals for at least 150 people
