We are seeking an admissions director who is also an LPN The Admissions Director is responsible for overseeing the admission process of new patients/residents into the Skilled Nursing Facility. They work closely with medical professionals, families, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient transition for patients into care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Admissions: Manage the entire admission process, from inquiry to patient entry into the facility, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and timely.
- Admissions Coordination: Work with physicians, social workers, and family members to assess and plan for patient care needs.
- Communication: Act as the main point of contact for new patients and their families, addressing any questions or concerns regarding admission or care.
- Insurance Liaison: Verify insurance coverage and ensure all paperwork is completed for billing and reimbursement.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all admissions comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies.
- Marketing & Outreach: Participate in marketing initiatives to increase facility awareness and engage with referral sources (e.g., hospitals, physicians, and healthcare professionals).
- Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure the quality of care provided during the transition period and handle any issues that arise post-admission.
- Staff Training: Train and support staff involved in the admission process, ensuring adherence to best practices and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field preferred.
- LPN license in the state of PA
- Previous experience in a healthcare facility admissions role is a plus.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, insurance protocols, and patient rights.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and referral sources.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
