Advanced Grinding Operator (2nd Shift)

Are you an experienced Grind Machine Operator? Do you want to work for a stable, respected company? Read on. We have an open opportunity on our 1st Shift for a Centerless Grind Machine Operator!

Centerless grinders reduce the outside diameter of parts by passing them through a pair of grind wheels. The grind machines are set up manually and typically require multiple rough grind passes. The tolerances for rough grind passes must be calculated by the operator prior to running. The grinding department also experiences some of Uniparts Olsen’s tightest tolerances.

As a Uniparts Olsen Grind Machine Operator, you will:

• Operate grinding machines to produce precision parts according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate machining.
• Perform quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
• Maintain equipment by conducting routine maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
• Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Must have experience in:

• Twin grip Machines
• plunge grind
• Surface grind
• Centerless grinder

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
