Job Description: Uniphore is looking for a leader to manage the US based Payroll function. You have a proven track record of managing a payroll function. You will provide visionary and strategic direction of the payroll processes and operations overseeing a multi-state for 800 employees. This role is suited for someone with the ability to execute, influence and effectively communicate in a fast-paced, growing, and ever-changing environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in payroll administration, with the ability to think big and the ability to execute. This role will manage payroll operations, vendors, third-party relationships, and process improvement. Expectations of the role: Hands on ownership of payroll, responsible for payroll by developing and executing a strategic plan to scale and optimize the payroll administration, as well as creating positive relationships with Finance, HRIS, Compensation/Benefits and other key functions. Manage the day to day payroll operations, including vendors and third-party relationships. Drive process automation, standardization, and improvement to ensure process efficiency and effectiveness. Serve as the subject matter expert for payroll processes, escalation point of contact and ensuring accuracy and compliance with local tax and payroll-related laws. Work with payroll vendors to support systems and procedures along with pay policies/compensation initiatives. Implementation of key performance metrics to measure performance, compliance, and effectiveness of the payroll function. Ensures payroll reporting, inputs, and outputs are compliant with company policy, accepted accounting principles, and applicable government regulations. Support the accounting team with month, quarterly and year-end financial close. About you: 5-7 years of payroll experience Background in implementing and working in an outsourced payroll vendor model Experience in the development of efficiencies in payroll processes and internal controls Expertise in payroll regulations and reporting requirements Ability to effectively communicate with and influence stakeholders at all levels Proactive, assertive, strong analytical (proficiency in Excel) and creative problem-solving skills Workday and ADP experience is a must Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or similar Hiring Range: $116,000 - $159,500 - for Primary Location of USA - CA - Palo Alto The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience.
