Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Intake Specialist. The Intake Specialist will be responsible for managing the intake process for new patients, providing administrative support and ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake interviews with new patients to gather necessary information
- Schedule appointments and coordinate with medical staff
- Enter patient information into electronic health record systems such as Alora
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history and treatment plans
- Provide administrative support, such as answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and managing patient files
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an Home Health Care office setting is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
