JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for monitoring, maintaining and reporting on wells and facilities; monitoring and maintaining equipment; operating oil and gas wells and water disposal facilities; entering production data; performing minor repairs; monitoring gauges and tests; and maintaining company policies and regulatory compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor, maintain and report on the production operations of wells and production facilities.
- Monitor and maintain equipment such as pressurized vessels, compressor, generators, artificial lifts, computers, vehicles and automation equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Operate oil and gas wells, as well as water disposal facilities.
- Enter daily production data into the field data capturing system.
- Perform minor repairs on surface equipment
- Monitor gauges and tests to ensure accuracy of oil and water run tickets.
- Work with production foreman and health and safety officials to maintain company policies and regulatory, environmental and safety compliance.
- Perform other related responsibilities as required or assigned.
**SPECIAL JOB DIMENSIONS:
This is a safety sensitive position. Primary duties require a medium level of physical activity. Ability to tolerate 12 hour shifts involving standing, climbing, lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying weights of up to 50 lbs.
The work is performed outside with prolonged exposure to the environment, both hot and cold. Operations could also involve prolonged exposure to wet or damp conditions, i.e., working in rain, sleet or snow.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and Skill
- Working knowledge of artificial lift methods, valves, regulators and pneumatics equipment.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment when necessary.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Proven problem solving skills.
- Ability to be self-directed while working independently.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills required.
Required Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
