Key Responsibilities :
The Analyst – Inventory Performance is responsible for the strategic efficiency and tactical execution of United Airlines’ aircraft spare parts inventory. The Analyst will accomplish tactical inventory execution through active project management and inventory planning.
- Lead queue of exceptions from automated planning engine, ensuring Allocation / ROP assignments are supervised and adjusted in support of service level goals, redistributing inventory, launching purchase orders, setting up new part allocations, scrapping and replacing inventory, and analyzing inventory health
- Improve operational reliability by minimizing aircraft out of service events, delays and cancellations related to the unavailability of spare aircraft parts
- Ensure Allocation / ROP assignments are supervised and adjusted, in support of service level goals, if / as needed
- Develop tactical and strategic plans for Rotable, Recoverable, Repairable, and Expendable in support of new station set ups or upon station closures
- Develop inventory requirements for initial provisioning in support of new fleet growth
- Apply analytical dashboards, automated tools, and the airline’s transaction-based computer ERP system (SCEPTRE)
- Monitor, analyze and report on performance against plan
- Provide actionable insight to short- and long-term forecasts for the purposes of budgetary planning and coordinated business planning
- Drive continuous improvement through the detailed use of new tools and techniques
