Key Responsibilities

The Network Fleet Strategy team is responsible for optimizing the financial and strategic benefit that various types of aircraft bring to United’s route network. We evaluate the potential value of various fleet strategies, aircraft acquisition, and retirement opportunities. We assist in the development of the future fleet plan and strategy for United Airlines and are responsible for the competitive forecasting of the industry’s fleet capabilities.

• The Analyst is responsible for assisting in the valuation of new aircraft, aircraft layouts, and retirement scenarios
• Responsibilities also include modeling the revenue potential, costs, and NPV/payback of various scenarios, as well as other aircraft-related projects that impact United’s Network
• The Analyst prepares and presents slides that tell a story and summarize key findings
• Prepare ad hoc analysis on the competitive landscape of the industry and future strategy of United
• Assists in the creation of Board of Director materials
• Partner with a broad range of collaborators including Finance, revenue management, and tech ops
• Present updates and findings to senior leadership

What’s Needed To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Transportation/Logistics, Mathematics, or related area of study
• At least 2 years of related work experience
• Demonstrated strategic thinking skills; ability to take complex problems and build logical solution frameworks
• Experience with data analysis and financial modeling
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to organize and keep track of many facts
• Ability to handle simultaneous projects and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Intellectual curiosity, desire to learn, ability to take initiative
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
• Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

The base pay range for this role is $64,885.00 to $88,440.00.

The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
