What are the responsibilities and job description for the Real Estate Appraisal Reviewer position at United Bank of Iowa?
As a member of the UBI team, this position is responsible for ordering appraisals, reviewing appraisals and loan review. This position will ensure independence loan origination and independent appraisal review. Sells and promotes all bank services in such a way as to enhance the bank's image within the community.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3 years banking or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Strong reading, writing and verbal skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from other employees, appraisers, customers, and prospective customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Count, add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY:
Comprehend and understand bank operations, policies (manuals), and procedures.
Comprehend appraisal formats and verbiage.
Apply established guidelines to review work
Independent judgment to recognize and maintain confidential information.
Recognize and reconcile problems following established guidelines.
OTHER SKILLS:
Ability to work independently AND collaborate within a team to complete tasks effectively and efficiently by building and nurturing strong relationships with other UBI team members.
Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with co-workers & customers in a friendly, courteous manner.
Excellent customer service skills to maintain to with the internal customer, the lending staff, who provide services to the customer
Good understanding of computer related operations.
Familiarity with standard office equipment such as calculators, typewriters, copy, fax, and scanning machines.
Computer skills in email, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software to generate correspondence and reports.
