About the Position...
The Associate Portfolio Manager (APM) is an onsite position and does not have remote opportunities.
The Associate Portfolio Manager (APM) will work with the Regional Team Lead Portfolio Management to learn the Banks policies, procedures and systems. They are responsible for assisting the designated Client Relationship Manager (CRM) and/or Portfolio Manager (PM) with a variety of tasks, such as monitoring past due loans and contacting clients as necessary to obtain payment, staying on top of approaching maturities and submit renewals timely, ensuring that loan files are complete and in accordance with Bank policy, monitoring covenants, and for actively managing technical exceptions as needed. In addition, the APM is responsible for managing a smaller, less complex portfolio as assigned. The APM will also be responsible for assisting loan clients with their questions related to the loan process, and for ensuring that all loan conditions are met prior to a loan being funded. This position will also be responsible for coordinating and/or performing annual site inspections, and ensuring that all appraisals, prelims and environmental reports are ordered, reviewed and processed timely and accurately. They will also be asked to support the Regional Team Lead Portfolio Management, the Chief Lending Officer and the Lending Team with other duties as assigned by the Regional Team Lead Portfolio Management. In addition, the APM will perform all duties accurately, timely, efficiently and according to Bank policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines, as well as the SBA SOP, if appropriate.

Education/Certification: Bachelors Degree in Business or related field, preferred.
Required Knowledge: Knowledge of banking and lending operations and procedures, as well as the various regulations and standard banking practices.
Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years experience in the financial services industry.
