What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Counselor position at United Cerebral Palsy Heartland?

Our Camp is located in Ferguson, MO and will be held Monday, 3/17/25 through Friday, 3/22/25.
Hours will be 8:00 am to 5:30 pm each of those days.
This is a camp for children with differing needs.
This person will work in all aspects of camp, may include maintaining professional hospitality during client drop off and pick up, monitoring campers while following the 1:3 counselor to camper ratio, taking and submitting notes of daily activities on Set-works, ability to provide crisis management and therapeutic intervention for youth, perform general “house” cleaning, ability to work independently and also collaboratively with team.
The Camp Counselor will be an extremely energetic, outgoing, compassionate person. Has worked with children ages 5-20. Comfortable working with children with disabilities. Has or able to acquire First Aid/CPR certification.
Must be 18 or older, with reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
One or more years’ experience with persons with disabilities, especially developmental and/or severe physical disabilities.
Effective written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to relate to a diverse group of individuals, both internal and external to the Agency.
Working knowledge of computer systems and software, preferably Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
