Position Summary: The Community Outreach Specialist will be responsible for coordinating fundraising efforts, overseeing volunteer programs, and executing marketing and social media strategies to support the mission of United Cerebral Palsy of Nevada.
Job Duties:

Develop and implement fundraising strategies to support programs and services.
Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and corporate partners.
Plan and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives.
Monitor and evaluate fundraising efforts to ensure revenue targets are met.
Implement marketing and promotional strategies to drive traffic to events.
Coordinate volunteer programs, including recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers.
Develop volunteer opportunities that align with mission and goals.
Recognize and appreciate volunteers for their contributions to the organization.
Develop and execute marketing and social media strategies to promote programs, events, and initiatives.
Create engaging content for social media platforms, website, and other marketing channels.
Monitor social media channels, respond to inquiries, and engage with followers.
Increase program visibility through traditional and non-traditional media coverage.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure we maintain a common message to the community.
Work with UCPNV leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive and innovative community outreach plan targeting individuals, private, corporate, school, and other organizations.
Develop on-going relationships with community partners through face-to-face meetings, phone calls and group presentations.
This position requires attention to detail and excellent communication skills while interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
Serve as a brand ambassador for the company.
Create a systematic approach to measure and track success for outreach efforts, including preparing reports addressing activities, outcomes, successes, and challenges.
Ability to lift 25 – 75lbs with assistance.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to marketing, public relations and/ or communication, or a related field.
- Knowledge and skills in office computers and software applications (MS Office, email, internet, etc.)
- Evenings and Weekends as necessary based on needs.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Experience with marketing, volunteer management and fundraising are highly preferred.
