As a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will lead and elevate our full recruitment lifecycle, from strategic sourcing and candidate engagement to offer negotiation, while also providing coaching and guidance to other members of the hiring team. Your expertise will be instrumental in attracting and securing exceptional talent that aligns with our business objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required.
- Drive the full recruitment lifecycle, from requisition intake to offer acceptance, ensuring a seamless and efficient hiring process.
- Partner with hiring managers to define staffing needs, develop compelling job descriptions and candidate profiles, and implement targeted recruitment strategies.
- Validate new job requisitions for accuracy, clarity, and alignment with business objectives and compensation guidelines.
- Employ advanced sourcing strategies, leveraging tools such as resume databases, job boards, social media platforms, and LinkedIn Recruiter, to proactively identify and engage top talent.
- Lead a comprehensive multi-stage candidate evaluation process, encompassing targeted resume screening to identify qualified candidates, conducting in-depth phone interviews to assess initial alignment with position requirements, and facilitating comprehensive on-site interviews to thoroughly evaluate skills, experience, and fit our company core values.
- Facilitate structured post-interview debrief sessions with hiring team members, guiding objective discussions on candidate strengths, weaknesses, and overall fit (including core values), analyzing interview feedback, assessment scores, and other relevant data to inform objective scoring based on pre-defined criteria, and ensuring alignment on the selection of the candidate who best meets the role's requirements.
- Streamline candidate information flows within our Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Facilitate compensation discussions with candidates, finance, and hiring managers to ensure alignment.
- Streamline the handoff between Talent Acquisition and HR to optimize the new hire onboarding process and create an exceptional candidate experience.
- Conduct regular market research and analysis of competitor strategies and compensation trends to inform our talent acquisition strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Represent United at job fairs and networking events to build relationships with potential candidates.
- Provide coaching and feedback to hiring managers on talent acquisition best practices.
- Proactively track, analyze, and report on key talent acquisition KPIs and metrics, using data-driven insights to identify trends, and drive continuous improvement in efficiency, effectiveness, and candidate experience.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Contribute to broader HR initiatives, including onboarding and new hire orientation.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred.
- 5 - 8 years of full cycle recruitment experience, with expertise sourcing difficult-to-find positions in a corporate setting preferred.
- Proficiency in core recruiting technologies, including ATS, HRIS, job boards, and social media platforms is required, and experience in advanced recruitment strategies such as Boolean search strings is a bonus.
- Advanced proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter, database sourcing, and leveraging appropriate recruitment resources and techniques to target various types of positions/candidates.
- Advanced recruitment strategies such as Boolean search strings are a plus.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- A passion for building relationships and fostering a positive candidate experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess candidate qualifications and identify the best fit for each role.
- Knowledge of state and federal employment law and best practices in recruitment and hiring.
