**$2,000 Sign-On Bonus**
JOB STATUS: On-call demand - number of work hours vary.
RESPONSIBILITIES: To work together with the Head Start staff providing comprehensive Head Start experiences that meet the requirements of the Head Start Performance Standards. To empower parents as team members in a comprehensive approach to child development and self-sufficiency.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Assist with implementing learning experiences that advance the intellectual, emotional, and physical development of children.
- Assist with health, nutrition, and safety tasks.
- Assist with janitorial duties.
- Assist with transportation activities.
- Perform required record keeping.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Obtained high school diploma or GED.
- CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow problem-solving and conflict resolution strategies.
- Knowledge and understanding of issues faced by low-income people in the nine-county area.
- Ability to travel within and out of the service area for meetings, workshops, and conferences.
- Reliable, regular attendance.
- Reliable mode of transportation.
- Knowledge and understanding of child development.
- Demonstrated problem solving or conflict resolution skills.
- Must complete a satisfactory Background Study.
- Must have satisfactory completion of medical exam and health screenings as requested per Head Start regulations.
