United Community Bank is in search of a Loan Servicing support position. This position will be located in Gillespie, IL. For the right candidate, this position can either be full or part time.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
Perform daily custodial functions associated with secondary market loans including certifying new loans as a trust assistant, logging new loans and releases, filing new notes as well as pulling files for release. Assist in custodial reconciliations and note audits as needed.
Receives, reviews, and updates swap notices and models from participating banks. Posts swap loan payments to bases and participations. Change and review daily index rates. Learn ancillary tasks in relation to the booking and payment exception area.
SECONDARY JOB DUTIES:
Assists in other Loan Servicing functions associated with booking and payment exception area. May be back up to several other areas as assigned.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Good organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Computer literate including working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Familiarity with ITI servicing software (an advantage but not required)
- Strong communication skills with supervisor and coworkers
Education and/or Experience: High school degree or equivalent
Computer Skills: Required - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Encompass, LaserPro
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None required
Other Skills and Abilities: Excellent customer service qualities, attention to detail, organizational skills.
Attendance Requirements: Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to start work. Employees are expected to remain at work for their entire work schedule. Late arrival, early departure or other absences from scheduled hours should be avoided. This position is typically full-time, Monday through Friday with a Saturday rotation. Shifts may vary to fit the needs of the department.
Working conditions: This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical requirements:
- Ability to sit for up to eight hours
- Requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary
- Requires the ability to hear, speak and/or signal people
- Effectively communicate verbally, in writing, and in English
- Requires manual dexterity, typing, and the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets
- The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Hourly range: 16.00
A successful candidate's pay rate will be based on several factors including applicable experience, training and education.
