Position Overview :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The Junior Accountant will assist in managing the organization's financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures and regulations. This role supports UCC’s mission by maintaining financial integrity and transparency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice review and payment processing.
- Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring proper coding and documentation.
- Reconcile bank statements and other accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain organized financial records and assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Support the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with grant accounting and compliance, including tracking expenditures against grant budgets.
- Support annual audits by gathering and organizing necessary documentation.
- Monitor compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Perform other finance-related tasks as needed.
