United Community is in search of a Portfolio Specialist IIto join our team. As a Portfolio Specialist II, you will provide crucial credit and sales support to commercial banking Relationship Managers. Your role involves managing loan portfolios, participating in the loan process, and preparing credit analysis packages. Additionally, you will identify cross-sell opportunities and assist lenders in their prospecting efforts.

What You'll Do
- Manage Loan Portfolios : Collaborate with Relationship Managers to oversee all aspects of the local loan portfolio, including annual reviews and covenant compliance.
- Participate in Loan Processes : Engage in joint calling, underwriting, and preparing credit approval packages.
- Coordinate with Analysts : Work with Credit Analysts to prepare necessary documents like LARs and credit memos.
- Client Relationship Management : Serve as a secondary contact and identify cross-sell opportunities with clients.
- Financial Analysis : Analyze and interpret complex financial statements and tax returns to make sound credit recommendations.
- Required Skills/Experience :
- 3–5 years’ experience in commercial lending
- Strong knowledge of credit policy, banking regulations, and loan documentation.
- Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
- Strong time management and the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background & credit check
- This is a full-time, non-remote position
