About the Role
The Retail Food Safety Specialist is a critical member of the United Dairy Farmers team, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the foodservice area. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stocked foodservice area, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Train and manage other associates on duty during their shift, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to execute all foodservice programs.
- Ensure all products are correctly dated and food-safe, and that inventory levels are maintained according to production guides.
- Work closely with management to develop and implement effective foodservice programs and promotions.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in a retail or foodservice environment, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
