IT Imaging Lead - 2nd Shift

UDT is currently looking for an Imaging Lead, 2nd Shift which plays a key role in supporting UDT’s customer product configuration process at the Integration Center in Orlando, FL, and is part of the Life Cycle Management solution. Persons in this role are accountable for ensuring the accurate and timely configuration and image provision of UDT customers Information Systems. Persons in this role must possess extraordinary attention to detail in transacting the software configurations of processed goods at high volume and with proper validation of quality control.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for intake and management of software OS installation and configuration of customer devices, following procedures outlined in UDT work orders to meet customer software servicing needs.
• Accountable for monitoring device imaging progress throughout device connections to ensure proper completion, reporting of errors to engineering, and validating automated imaging system is functioning properly.
• Responsible for monitoring automated quality control read outs to validate successful or unsuccessful image/configuration attempts. Communicating with engineer or leads/supervisor progress or concerns affecting completion of image process.
• Responsible for safe handling practices of devices in placing them onto designated imaging stations, physically connecting power and data/adapters and starting imaging process systematically.
• Collaboration with other departments to keep workflow consistent and reporting irregular outcomes or delays stemming from the imaging process.
• Level 1 troubleshooting of devices to verify physical hardware operability, as well as cataloging and identifying physical defects, power issues, or visible damages for customer product and reporting them to the proper department for remediation.

Qualifications:

• High School Degree or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in warehouse and/or production environments and systems OR
• A combination of education and experience of equivalent time frame demonstrating similar skillsets applicable for the above listed responsibilities
• Demonstrated knowledge and comfortability working with computer systems and hardware, along with basic understanding of computer operating system concepts.
• Ability to work standing and bending for full shift, performing repetitive load/unload procedures during peak volume days.
• Strong Process Orientation and Attention to Detail.
• Ability to Read, Analyze and understand work order workflows and instructions.
• Exceptional level of attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently without direct, constant management.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions to interact with live computer system and power/networking components.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to confidently operate laptop, desktop and tablet computers, as well as physically handle certain types of servers and networking equipment for systematic configuration.
• Ability to discern instructions from workflows and work orders to execute desired outcomes.
• Ability to communicate with other departments to manage flow of production volume and keep pace with production goals as previously described.
• Ability to work 1st shift hours, weekends, and at times into the later hours of the day as per business needs.
• Must be able to physically lift weight up to 25 pounds.
• Must be able to read and understand English instructions.
