We are seeking a highly skilled Controller to oversee our accounting operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in corporate accounting and financial analysis, with a deep understanding of regulatory compliance and best practices in financial management. This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local regulations.
- Manage all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations and non-profit reporting.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop long-term financial strategies aligned with the organization's mission and goals
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to support business planning and decision-making processes.
- Ensure adherence to all compliance requirements and maintain effective internal controls.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional development within the team.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field is required.
- No less than 3 years working in a senior finance role with a proven track record of success is mandatory.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance is a requirement.
- Experience with non-profit accounting is a plus.
- Proficiency in financial analysis techniques and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
