What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction/Bridge Inspector position at United Employment Group, Inc.?
We are searching for a Construction / Bridge Inspector to join a great firm in the Riverside County area. The firm is currently working on a large bridge project in the region and is looking for a seasoned inspector to inspect / oversee construction projects, project compliance with Caltrans standards, project specifications, and safety regulations. The role also has the ability to work from home when not in the field. Also, this role will is a prevailing wage position.
This is a direct placement role so you would be 100% employed by the firm!
Duties :
Conduct field inspection of bridges, roadways, and other transportation structures to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and Caltrans / FHWA standards.
Monitor contractor compliance with California prevailing wage regulations and labor standards.
Document construction activities, discrepancies, and resolutions; prepare detailed daily logs and photographic records.
Sample and test construction materials, coordinating with certified laboratories as needed.
Assist with project cost estimates, schedules, and coordination of construction activities.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including Cal / OSHA and environmental regulations.
Qualifications :
5 years of experience with construction inspection - ideally with bridge construction
Caltrans experience is high desired
B.S. in Civil Engineering or similar is preferred
Caltrans Bridge Inspector Safety Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
Additional certification are a plus such as ICC, AWS, CWI, NHI or similar
