Motion Solutions Engineer
At United Equipment Accessories (UEA), we are seeking a highly skilled Motion Solutions Engineer to join our design engineering team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in developing innovative solutions to meet our customers' motion application needs.
About the Role
In this position, you will conceptualize and define multiple projects, utilizing early-phase development processes. Your work will focus on guiding designs from concept through product integration, performing worst-case analyses, supporting prototype development and initial testing, and transitioning products to manufacturing operations. You will collaborate directly with customers to understand their requirements, develop tailored designs, and provide detailed drawings, presentations, and design specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include managing 3 – 7 projects in varying stages of development, using computer-aided design software to develop designs, problem-solving on a routine basis, maintaining compliance with engineering principles and company standards, and preparing project reports and documentation for ISO Quality compliance. Additionally, you will review designs and technical data for accuracy and completeness, follow rules and processes outlined in the Employee Handbook and Quality Manual, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, minimum 5-7 years of experience in design engineering, strong listening, written, and oral communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a manufacturing ERP system. You will also need to be able to work under time and budgetary pressures, handle high-pressure situations, and possess excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
