About the Position
In this position, you will be responsible for guiding designs from concept through product integration, performing worst-case analyses, supporting prototype development and initial testing, and transitioning products to manufacturing operations. You will collaborate directly with customers to understand their requirements, develop tailored designs, and provide detailed drawings, presentations, and design specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include managing 3 – 7 projects in varying stages of development, utilizing computer-aided design software to develop designs, problem-solving on a routine basis, maintaining compliance with engineering principles and company standards, and preparing project reports and documentation for ISO Quality compliance. Additionally, you will review designs and technical data for accuracy and completeness, follow rules and processes outlined in the Employee Handbook and Quality Manual, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, minimum 5-7 years of experience in design engineering, strong listening, written, and oral communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a manufacturing ERP system. You will also need to be able to work under time and budgetary pressures, handle high-pressure situations, and possess excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
