What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Associate position at UNITED FACILITIES?
Essential duties and responsibilities are listed below. This associate will perform other duties as required.
90% - Operations:
- Inspects, cleans, and sweeps/mops interior warehouse perimeter as scheduled; inspects for cobwebs and removes as necessary.
- Empties all trash hoppers, receptacles, and checks compactor and shadow box stations.
- Inspects and cleans truck dock areas and exterior of buildings as needed.
- Cleans outside entrance area, employee break rooms, hallway, warehouse restrooms and front offices.
- Uses scrubber to clean all emptied bays, dock areas, and aisles.
- Dusts fire extinguishers.
- Inspects fans/vents and cleans, as necessary.
- Cleans eye wash stations.
- Completes inspection/sanitation logs and any corrective actions; files monthly sanitation/facility audits.
- Monitors inventory levels of cleaning supplies, submitting resupply orders to management as needed.
5% - Communication:
- Reports any observed product damage or evidence of rodent activity to the United Facilities Supervisor.
- Notifies agency management of any significant employment related issues including time off requests.
- Communicates internally with UF personnel, management, and agency associates throughout the workday regarding critical tasks.
- Maintains self-composure in stressful circumstances.
5% - Safety:
- Follows general safety practices and procedures as outlined by the Staffing Agency including proper use of PPE, handling of chemicals, and timely reporting of accidents, incidents, or safety concerns.
- Responsible for following any food safety processes and guidelines that are provided. Any identifiable food safety issues should be reported to UF Management immediately.
- Ensures work areas are clean and free from hazards.
- Attends and engages in safety meetings and discussions.
