Description
*This is an onsite role (5 days/week, 9:30am - 6pm) based at our Team United Headquarters in St. Joseph, MI.
General Summary (What is done and why)
The Card Services Processor provides complete and accurate documentation, reporting and all necessary processing support for United Federal Credit Union’s credit, debit, and gift cards, and like products and services which include reward-based products.
Essential Functions, in Priority Order (Majority of duties, but not meant to be all inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned as necessary)
- Process plastic orders and maintenance requests in order to accurately maintain all debit, credit, and gift cards, and related products and services. Time: 25%
- Audit all documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance. Time: 20%
- Communicate with staff and members as necessary to resolve all card issues. Time: 15%
- Analyze and act upon dispute documentation. Time: 10%
- Provide support to all functional areas of processing and member services for all credit, debit, and gift cards, and reward products. Time: 10%
- Monitor card transactions for fraud trends and prevent losses through application of fraud tools. Time: 5%
- Accumulate and act upon all applicable reports for each product and service area. Time: 5%
- Evaluate departmental processes and procedures and recommend improvements. Time: 5%
- Maintain a working knowledge of all Credit Union products and services. Time: 5%
Qualifications
Education (Minimum education required to perform the duties of this position)
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience (Minimum experience required to perform the duties of this position)
In addition to the education requirement:
- Minimum of one years' experience in related field required.

Physical Demands (Physical effort generally associated with this position)
Work involves sitting for long periods of time. There is potential for eyestrain from reading the computer screen. Increased workload during busy times may cause increased stress levels.
Working Conditions (Typical working conditions associated with this type of work and environmental hazards, if any, that may be encountered in performing the duties of this position)
Internal - Work is normally performed in climate controlled office environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is very limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment (computers, telephones, etc). No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of duties. Length of day is unpredictable; long hours may be required to accommodate deadlines or special meetings.
External - Some travel to branches may be required; however, information on environmental conditions is not available.
