GENERAL PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to assist United Financial Credit Union in abiding by the company’s employee WOW initiative to uphold and adhere to the Mission Statement, Vision Statement, DEI Statement, and the Core Values. The mission of innovative, friendly, and quality service, United Financial Credit Union will provide long-term financial stability to our credit union, our members, and their families. Employees should strive to help our credit union achieve the strategic goals set by the Board of Directors.
PURPOSE:
Guide and manage branch office of the Credit Union in providing quality service to members in account transactions, teller/ITM transactions, loan applications, and new accounts. Solve problems within established policies and guidelines. Engage in the local community by excelling in leadership. Set a positive example and be a role model by building relationships, being dependable, demonstrating initiative, responsibility, integrity, professionalism, and take responsibility to see that things are being done correctly. Handle complex situations with confidence, knowledge, and creativity. Be a leader.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have the ability to supervise employees, excellent communication skills, and to be able to maintain effective and efficient schedule of workflow within the Branch. Must be thoroughly familiar with credit union policy, services, and field of membership. Three to five years previous financial institution work experience or equivalent required. Advanced education or working towards advanced education is preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

- Community Advocate: Serves as a representative of the credit union and is actively visible in the community in which the branch is located. Works with Community Partnerships to develop partnerships with local dealerships, companies and schools.

- Apply and follow through with policies and procedures for the Credit Union. Ensure that the branch follows federal laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Union Administration and other regulatory agencies. Work with internal auditor to ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Evaluate the job performance of branch office staff to ensure quality of work and service to members. Assist staff or members in solving complex account problems. Create and maintain a cross-selling environment within the branch. Train employees to maximize opportunities to sell products.
- Review branch activity, including number of transactions, volume, teller errors, loan volume, teller and loan personal sales, and new accounts. Monitor key products and sales within branch to ensure profitable and sound business practices and a high quality of service for members.
- Responsible for daily opening and closing of the Branch. Ensure the branch is in the best presentable form possible. Being sure branch is picked up and cleaned. Schedule adequate staff to ensure efficient branch operation. Manage the security and safety of the branch and ensure that staff receives on-going training on security and robbery procedures. Analyze and monitor security and safety policies and procedures on an on-going basis.
- Monitor branch operations to ensure a consistent, professional approach. Provides backup support to all job responsibilities performed at the branch office.
- Provides all member services offered at the main office to the membership at the branch office. Perform duties of a loan officer including interviewing, underwriting, counseling, and closing of consumer loans. Provides routine information concerning credit union services and member’s accounts in accordance with credit union policy. Authorizes exceptions to normal policy or procedures when circumstances warrant and where deviation is justified.
- Ensures that proper housekeeping of work areas, desks, equipment, etc., within the branch is carried out. Responsible for keeping employees supplied with sufficient supplies and forms to carry on day-to-day business.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
PHYICAL DEMANDS:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand or sit; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Ability to work overtime, attend meetings, seminars, and travel.
