Qualifications
- 4-year degree, preferably in Accounting
- CPA preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of management accounting experience including vendor payments, cash review, and bookkeeping
- Experience in creating financial statements, including general ledger entries and month-end/year end close processes
- Demonstrates strong execution, organization and communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) required. Knowledge/proficiency in QuickBooks and NetSuite preferred.

Position Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping, preparation and consolidation of financial statements for multiple corporate entities
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
- Review and monitor all corporate bank accounts weekly, noting when transfers, etc. are required
- Manage the payment process for most vendor invoices, employee expense reimbursements, to and from portfolio investments, lenders and LPs, etc.
- Assists with payroll from time sheets through final processing.
- Submission of payroll taxes, franchise taxes, Secretary of State and other information due to certain regulatory authorities
- Assist with the billing process
- Preparation of 1099’s annually
- Work with third party fund administrator regarding quarterly updates, partner capital account statements, etc.
- Review certain key items (EIN’s, addresses, etc.) in federal and state K1’s (tax returns) for completeness
- Tie tax returns to financial statements, noting inconsistencies
- Maintain a strong organizational and communication system within document folders and emails such that activities completed are easily trackable
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Work closely with other departments to ensure financial information is accurately represented in company records.
- Coordinate intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Assist in the management of project cashflows, ensuring timely invoicing and accurate forecasting of cash requirements
