Education/Experience:
This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs for transporting documents, equipment, and other materials as needed. The role involves extended periods of sitting while working at a computer, as well as standing and walking. Frequent movement between the construction trailer and various areas of the construction site is necessary.
The position is based at the construction job site (trailer office). Even though the exposure of hazardous work conditions would be minimal, the employee may be required to visit the work area of the jobsite and thus be exposed to some typical work hazards that may be present on a construction site, such as dust, moving machineries, weather, caustic chemicals, noise etc. UIS would provide the required safety protection to ensure the safety of UIS employees and comply with all OSHA standards.

- This is a full time onsite position located in North Phoenix, AZ (85027).**
- Implement and administer safety prevention plans, policies, and procedures
- Ensure that the company and client safety reports, statistics and supporting documentation are submitted in a timely manner
- Provide safety technical expertise and support to assigned projects(s)
- Promote safety, and safe work practices through coaching and proactively addressing any safety concerns that can result in potential injury or material damage
- Assist in the investigation of work-related injuries, illnesses, and near-miss incidents
- Enforce corrective action to prevent the recurrence of hazardous conditions or behaviors
- Practice timely and accurate accident reporting
- Review all accidents and investigation reports
- Act as liaison between the company and client as it relates to site safety
- Assist in identifying, correcting, and mitigating routine, and non-routine safety and health hazards
- Council and coach craft workers to gain compliance with the accident prevention plans, policies and procedures
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential safety health hazards
- Conduct job site inspections and audits to establish and evaluate the level of compliance
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education/Experience:
- High School diploma/GED.
- 2 years construction safety or equivalent work experience.
- Strong understanding of Construction safety practices and procedures.
- OSHA30 Construction Certification, required. CPR/First Aid/AED certified a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to use engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Primavera, or others.
- Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught or through on the job experience
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High level of attention to detail, and highly organized.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities depending on project needs. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, and employees.
- Ability to develop and maintain successful relationships with all levels of employees, clients, and subcontractors.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude.
- Ability to work in a construction site environment (trailer office).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin, preferred.
- Verbal communication skills in Mandarin.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certified, a plus.
- Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license. May be required to travel to other sites within Arizona to perform certain work functions.
