Qualifications
- 3-5 years landscape construction background
- Prior work experience with demonstrated knowledge of heavy equipment, construction supervision, and/or management.
- Experience in excavation, grading, subgrade surfaces, drainage install, and irrigation is preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including on the road for five days a week.
- Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team members’ wellbeing and safety.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers and cross-functional departments.
- Ability to learn, understand, apply, and teach new techniques.
- Ability to adhere to uniform requirements as required by the branch.
Responsibilities
- Lead and train Crew Members in general labor tasks such as trenching, backfilling, raking, guiding operators, and laying sod.
- Work closely with the site supervisor to understand project details and ensure completion of associated tasks.
- Operate heavy equipment and provide expertise on machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and sod installers.
- Interact directly with vendors, sub-contractors, clients, and design professionals.
- Travel out-of-town for five days a week with accommodations and per diem provided by the company.
- Maintain company equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are clean and in working order.
- Report any work issues, including equipment malfunctions, to Supervisor or Account Manager in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
