Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site operations, delegating tasks to crew members with a focus on sod installation, material loading and transportation, topsoil, mulch, gravel work, minor landscaping installs, digging, and debris removal.
- Assist team members in the preparation and installation of sod projects to ensure high-quality results.
- Drive company vehicles to job sites, ensuring all vehicles and trailers are maintained in safe operating condition.
- Maintain and care for company equipment, tools, and vehicles to ensure longevity and efficiency.
- Ensure accurate crew time logs and track materials and time on service work orders for effective project management.
- Interact with clients and the public in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
- Identify and report on potential cost savings and efficient methods to enhance work performance.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures to maintain safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma and a minimum of three years of landscaping experience required.
- Proficiency in operating skid steers and front-end loaders.
- Ability to assess site material needs in relation to volume and duration required.
- Capability to instruct crew members on proper equipment usage and safety protocols.
