UMC is currently seeking an Administration Intern for our Bristol Glen Senior Care Community located in Newton, NJ. Bristol Glen, a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), is thoughtfully designed to provide person directed care in a home-like environment to ensure exceptional care and quality of life for our residents.
Requirements for a Administration Intern :
- Current student or recent graduate in Business, Healthcare Administration, Hospitality, Gerontology, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Interest in senior living, healthcare, and community development.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across diverse teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative.
Responsibilities for a Administration Intern :
Shadow and assist team members in each department to understand day-to-day operations and long-term goals.Participate in departmental meetings and contribute ideas to improve resident satisfaction and community engagement.Collaborate on projects that enhance cross-departmental support for sales and resident retention.Observe and report on how each department influences prospective resident impressions and overall community appeal.Support event planning and execution in collaboration with Community Life and Dining teams.Assist the Sales team with tours, follow-ups, and engagement with prospective residents and their families.Work with Administration to understand operational oversight and the importance of efficient processes.Gain insight into HR practices including staff hiring, training, and employee engagement.Explore levels of care in Assisted Living and Healthcare and their role in the continuum of care.Understand the role of Building Services in maintaining safety, cleanliness, and overall community appeal.Complete weekly reflections on department experiences and key takeaways.Prepare and present to leadership a final project analyzing interdepartmental collaboration and providing recommendations for fostering a sales-focused culture.About UMC :
