United Methodist Homes, a non-profit senior living organization serving its 140-year mission to provide relationship-centered care, is currently seeking a reliable and friendly Part Time Dining Aide to join our team on our Wesley Village campus located in Shelton, CT in our Bishop Wicke Community.
Part Time Position is is 16 hours a week.
The Dining Aide will be responsible for assisting with meal preparation, serving meals to residents, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing salads, and setting up serving stations
- Serve meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner
- Ensure that all food is properly labeled and stored
- Clean and sanitize all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a food service or hospitality role preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a team
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
- Candidates must be able to speak, read and write English.
- Must be willing to undergo a comprehensive background check, including physical and drug screen.
