Warehouse and Distribution Associate

United Ortho is an established global company (40 years) that manufactures and distributes orthopedic bracing to medical professionals and direct to consumers. We are searching for a Warehouse and Distribution Associate who shares our values of hard work and responsible stewardship that will deliver the highest quality products and experience for our customers.

About the Role: Have you worked in a warehouse or distribution center before and had the responsibility of organizing inventory and preparing orders for customers. If so, we are looking for you but specifically we are looking for team members who are humble, energetic, diligent and honest. Part of why we love to come to work is because of who we work with. Responsibilities

• Work Area Organization: Maintain an organized workspace by stacking and moving empty pallets with a pallet jack and powered equipment.
• Inventory Monitoring: Keep track of inventory and stock levels.
• Policy Compliance: Adhere to company policies and ethical standards, implementing relevant action plans.
• Self-Awareness & Transparency: Demonstrate humility and honesty in all interactions.
• Continuous Improvement: Support and implement initiatives for ongoing enhancement.
• Forklift Operations: Operate forklifts to transport, load, unload, and stack materials safely within the warehouse.
• Safety Adherence: Navigate forklifts in tight spaces while strictly following safety guidelines.
• Routine Inspections: Perform regular maintenance checks on forklifts, reporting any issues to supervisors.
• Goods Verification: Match received goods with purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and reporting discrepancies.
• Truck Loading/Unloading: Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring secure placement of materials.
• Utilization of Equipment: Use forklift attachments to handle various materials as needed.
• Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain clean and organized work areas, including aisles and storage locations.
• Inventory Control: Follow established procedures for accurate inventory recording and updates.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse team members to fulfill customer orders and ensure timely delivery.
• Safety Promotion: Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all company policies and safety regulations.
• Additional Support: Provide assistance with other warehouse tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Team-Oriented: Actively engages with team members, and acknowledges others’ contributions.
• Educational Background: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift Certification: Valid forklift operator certification; capable of operating forklifts safely and efficiently, or willingness to obtain certification within the first 30 days.
• Experience: Proven experience as a forklift operator in warehousing, distribution, or logistics.
• Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of forklift operations, safety protocols, and warehouse procedures.
• Effective Communicator: Collaborates effectively with supervisors and co-workers.
• Detail-Oriented: Completes tasks with exceptional attention to detail while maintaining a sense of urgency.
• Dependable Team Player: Exhibits a strong work ethic and reliability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
