Job Description:
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our team and support our Financial Operations (FinOps) and Technology Business Management (TBM) functions. This role is ideal for someone eager to develop expertise in financial planning, cloud cost optimization, and IT cost management. As a key player in our team, you will analyze financial data, support reporting processes, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technology investments align with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations (FinOps) Support
Assist in analyzing cloud usage and cost data to identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings
Help maintain dashboards and reports to provide visibility into cloud spending
Support forecasting and budgeting efforts for cloud infrastructure costs
Technology Business Management (TBM) Support
Assist in managing IT financial data, ensuring accurate tracking of technology spend
Work with internal teams to align IT investments with business value and operational efficiency
Support cost allocation models, helping to distribute IT expenses accurately across departments
Contribute to the automation and improvement of financial reporting processes
Data Analysis & Reporting
Support the development of KPIs and dashboards to track financial and operational performance.
Help create reports and presentations for senior UTG leadership to explain trends, risks, and opportunities.
Work closely with finance, IT, and operations teams to improve cost transparency
Assist in documenting best practices, policies, and processes related to FinOps and TBM
Support the adoption of TBM frameworks and FinOps principles across the organization
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
Internship or coursework related to financial analysis, IT financial management, or cloud computing is a plus
Basic understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and cost management.
Exposure to cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is helpful but not required.
Experience with Excel, SQL, or data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) is a plus
Experience in Apptio is a plus
Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
