The Wastewater Operator plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of wastewater treatment facilities. Duties

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify any operational issues or maintenance needs.
• Analyze water quality data and perform tests to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
• Utilize distributed control systems to manage treatment processes effectively.
• Perform heavy lifting as required for equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of operations, including data collection for research purposes.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement solutions.
• Apply basic math skills for calculations related to chemical dosages and flow rates.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in wastewater treatment or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is essential.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to assist in troubleshooting equipment failures.
• Ability to analyze data effectively and make informed decisions based on findings.
• Experience with logic controllers and distributed control systems is advantageous.
• Capacity for heavy lifting as part of routine operational duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
